Christians: would you ever conduct a test of the ‘power of prayer’ for yourself?
Don’t just rely on the ertions made by other people who claim they have conducted tests, do it for yourself. Each time you pray for something, write down the prayer, the date and time of the prayer and the outcome of the prayer, you know, whether or not it was answered. Do this for a year then see the results for your self. You might end up with a statistic something like, for every 1000 prayers, one came true. But you’ve got to be honest, I mean, you can’t show any bias at all; bias is a tester’s worst enemy. It’s better to have your hypothesis proved wrong and a month’s work wasted than to have biased results. So, you know, don’t pray for cold water and then turn the cold water tap on concluding that prayer worked for you; this is cheating and shows your bias. Would any of you do a test like this or are you just happy pretending that prayer works?
