I have two questions. My first is this I was offered a job at a certain wage after working apporx 1 month?

After working for at least a month I was told that they made a mistake with my wages and the wages were actually much less. They changed my pay and did not even take responsibility for the fact that it was there error. They only apologized and tried to offer me some sign on bonus. Which is temporary and this was going to afffect my earnings as well as my credit. You do tell people how much you make when you apply for credit. The job I had prior was paying more. So this meant that I took a pay cut which why would I do that? What can I do. I have resigned but this has really cost me a lot and now I have to find another job! What can I do?
