Anyone's opinion on filming microscope activity with a normal camera?
I'm using a standard compound light microscope to look at tardigrades (water bears) collected from moss. I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences photographing through the ocular lens. I have several digital and non-digital cameras. I was wondering if it's possible to take shots directly through the eyepiece with any half decent outcome. I know it's not too professorial, but I want to know if I can tweak things with a normal camera before I spend money on a microscope camera. Any positive or negative feedback/experience around photographing in this way is welcome. (Usually I'd try it myself but I wont be able to for a few days. I'm am just thinking about it in the mean time...)
