Why do men think they can get away with these horrific crimes?

Maybe they think it's cheaper than divorce. Sorry that was a bad joke. The truth is I think it has to do with pion and jealousy in many cases. Men are very jealous and some act out violently. These men all have serious mental issues it makes me sick to see men that kill their wives / ex-wives. Why a man or anyone would kill their child is truly beyond me. I don't think they are worried with getting away with it at the time, they are more "in the moment". After I would say many realize what they have done and fear sets in then they worry about how to get away with it. It is sad, but it also makes me wonder about the women who are with such men. Surely these men have shown violent tendencies in the past, yet many of these women stay until it is to late.
